Our service agreement and policies

Service Agreement

By booking our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your cleaning needs
  • Grant access to your property at the scheduled time
  • Pay for services as agreed upon completion
  • Communicate any special requirements or concerns
  • Disclose all delicate or specialty surfaces in your home (including but not limited to natural stone, marble, granite, limestone, travertine, unsealed wood, antique finishes, or other materials requiring special care) prior to service
  • Allow us to contact you via phone, text, or email regarding your service

Our Commitment

We commit to:

  • Arrive within the scheduled time window
  • Provide quality cleaning services
  • Use our own professional-grade, eco-friendly cleaning products and equipment
  • Respect your property and privacy
  • Carry appropriate insurance coverage
  • Communicate clearly about any service changes

Service Limitations

Our cleaning services, including standard, deep, and super deep cleans, are designed for general residential and commercial cleaning purposes. Our services do not include or substitute for:

  • Medical-grade sanitation or allergen remediation
  • Mold testing, remediation, or abatement
  • Biohazard or hazardous material cleanup
  • Environmental or air quality certification
  • Pest control services
  • Moving heavy furniture
  • Exterior window cleaning above ground level
  • Repairs or maintenance work (unless specifically booked as handyman service)

For situations involving specific health, environmental, or medical concerns, we recommend consulting a certified specialist. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service if we determine that the scope of work required falls outside the capabilities of a standard residential cleaning service.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of service. We accept:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • Zelle payments

No upfront payment is required. We charge only after you're satisfied with the service.

Cleaning Products and Supplies

Our team arrives with all necessary cleaning products and equipment. For your protection:

  • Our cleaners use only company-approved, professional-grade products
  • We do not use customer-supplied cleaning products, tools, or equipment unless explicitly requested by the customer
  • If a customer requests or directs our team to use their own products, tools, or equipment, the customer assumes full responsibility for any damage or adverse effects resulting from the use of those products
  • If you have preferences or concerns about specific products (allergies, sensitivities, or surface-specific requirements), please let us know when booking
  • Customers with specialty surfaces (natural stone, marble, granite, limestone, travertine, unsealed wood, or other delicate materials) must inform us prior to service so we can ensure the appropriate products and techniques are used

Liability and Insurance

Brooklyn Maids is fully insured and bonded. Our liability policy:

  • We carry general liability insurance covering accidental property damage that occurs during normal cleaning operations using our own products and equipment
  • Any damages must be reported within 24 hours of service completion with supporting photos
  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or conditions that were present before our service
  • We are not responsible for damage to items or surfaces that were not disclosed as requiring special care prior to the service (e.g., natural stone, marble, delicate finishes, antiques, or specialty materials)
  • We are not liable for damage caused by the use of customer-supplied products, tools, or equipment, whether provided at the customer's request or direction
  • We reserve the right to obtain independent estimates or inspections before agreeing to any damage claim
  • Our liability for any single incident is limited to the lesser of the cost of repair or the total amount charged for the service during which the damage occurred
  • Claims are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and resolved in a timely manner
